OBC Charity Focus is an opportunity for us as a church to engage with, learn about, develop relationships with and financially support local, national and international charities throughout the year. We select four charities that we want to support each year, and focus on one charity every quarter, making a financial donation to the charity, as well as inviting representatives of the charity to come and tell us more about the good work they’re doing.

Our chosen charities for 2026 are:

January – March 2026

Saffires

A Christian Charity offering care, support and advice in Leicester for women who work on the street or in indoor venues (massage parlours, saunas, etc.)

Youth For Christ

Working to help churches reach out to meet young people where they are and support them on a journey to discipleship.

Tek Ura

Working in Albania bringing God’s love and striving to make a real and lasting difference to the quality of life of local people by promoting community cohesion, encouraging healthier lifestyles, improving access to education, tackling isolation and addressing the 
root causes of poverty.

Project Ruth

Based in Romania and providing transformational educational opportunities to children and adults affected by poverty, especially those from Roma (Gypsy) backgrounds with the purpose of improving their life chances.
