We believe church is about more than an experience – church is about family.

We love our students at OBC – they’re a really important part of our family – so we invest in 3 key ministries for students:

we FEED them, we LOVE them, and we PRAY for them.

We’re not a church with a student ministry – we’re a family church where everyone is included and welcomed, and we really value having students as part of our all age mix, which includes those from 0 to over 90. We want to be a place everyone can call home, especially those who are far from their own home.

We love to journey with you from fresher’s week to graduationpraying for you as you settle in and begin your studies, supporting you as you face exams and essays, and celebrating with you when you graduate.

We often invite students to Sunday lunch at church, in our homes or in local cafes and to get to know them over after church refreshments every week.

We also want everyone to feel they can be involved in the life of the church through serving, though don’t feel any pressure, we’re just glad to have students worshipping with us! For those who have the capacity to get involved, we have opportunities for volunteering as a helper or leader in any of our groups (Adventurers, Elevate, Paradox drama group, Bulrushes toddler group, helping with the community garden and other social action and outreach projects, etc.) or to help lead our services through worship leading or preaching.

So if you’re a student looking for a church to be part of – a home away from home – then come and be part of our family at OBC.

We look forward to welcoming you this Sunday morning at 10.30am.
